01 What counts as a sale
The game lists lots and their sellers; it never names a buyer, so a sale is inferred from what changed between
two polls. A lot that disappears before its 48 hours are up counts as sold, at the price it was listed for; a lot
that reaches its 48 hours counts as expired. UNITS counts pieces, LOTS counts lots that closed by a sale in the
window, and REVENUE is units times price. MIN, MEDIAN and MAX are per unit and weighted by pieces, so a lot of
fifty weighs fifty times in the median. Every figure is in starbux; a lot priced in another currency is left out
of the sums entirely.
02 The chart
The upper track is money: revenue per step of the axis. The lower track counts appearances instead, one bar per
lot that went up for sale in that step, which is why it is labelled NEW LOTS and not the number of lots hanging.
A lot is counted once, on the day it appeared, however long it then hangs. Each track has its own scale, because
starbux and lots cannot share one. The bars start at the first poll of this site: a lot already hanging on the
market when collecting began was never seen to appear, and counting it would invent a listing.
03 The filters
TYPE and RARITY offer only what actually sold in the window, so every choice leads to a table with rows in it
rather than to an empty one. Both tracks of the chart follow those filters, so narrowing to one type narrows the
chart with it. The market is read every minute, the limit the game’s public API allows, and history starts on the
day the collector started.
