01Where these layouts come from
Players publish them from the ship builder. The site stores the layout code and works out everything else from it, so nothing here is a claim someone typed in.
The picture in each row is the layout itself: the hull outline, every room drawn where it stands and coloured by its shop tab. Armour is the hull colour, because armour is what fills the gaps.
A row opens the layout over the table: the ship at its own size, the same panel of numbers the builder shows, and the buttons that carry it into your builder or give it a heart. The address in the bar becomes the layout's own while the window is open, so it can be shared or reloaded like any page, and closing the window brings the table back where you left it.
02Key rooms
The rooms that give a layout a specific job, whenever it carries them: everything that puts crew on an enemy ship (Teleport, Singularity Teleport, Boarding Pod), the Bomb Launcher, every missile room, hangars, Android Studio and Singularity Studio, both Anti Craft rooms, engines, and Med Bay. No ranking by power and no cap at three: a layout gets every one of these it has. A layout with none of them shows a dash. Of the rooms you can buy today, 27 draw power, and those are the ones the HAS ROOM filter offers; with a faction and a ship level chosen, it drops the rooms that ship never has.
03Power and combos
POWER is generated minus used. A negative balance is legal in the game and in the builder: you sort it out with AI settings, not with more reactors. COMBOS counts the adjacency bonuses the layout actually lights up. Armour cover is not a combo: the game does not count it as one, so neither do we. You can see what it protects in the builder, room by room.
04No damage column
Damage needs an enemy, their armour and your ammo. That lives in the damage planner, not here. The crew in a layout is who sits where, without levels, stars, training or equipment: those belong to the player, not to the ship.
05Crew and modules
CREW counts the crew seated in the layout and MOD the modules standing in its rooms. WITH CREW keeps the layouts that seat anyone, WITH MODULES the ones with at least one module, and both together keep only those that have both. The same ship with a different crew is a different layout; the order of seats inside a room is not.
06Hearts and opens
A heart is one browser saying the layout is good; clicking again takes it back. OPENS counts how many times someone pressed OPEN IN BUILDER and carried the layout away: use, not opinion. Reading the page does not move it, or every crawler would. Both numbers are ours and neither is invented. Neither survives a determined faker: clear cookies, change address, vote again. The cost is just high enough to be dull.
07The name in AUTHOR
The name is asked for at publishing time and is optional, so an empty AUTHOR means the player left the layout unsigned. Names take English letters and digits, up to 24: the name is printed wherever the layout appears, and 62 characters leave nothing to argue about. The price of that rule is plain, a name in Cyrillic or in kanji does not survive it at all. The AUTHOR field on the left matches the start of a name and ignores case, so "gal" finds Galahad.
08Reading the table
Every heading except KEY ROOMS sorts. The first click opens a number at its highest and a name at its first letter, the second turns the order around, and the third drops sorting altogether: back to the order you arrive at, which is hearts first, then opens, then the newest. ADDED is the day the layout was published, UTC. One filter shows up to 100 rows and no pages follow them, so the way to the rest is a narrower filter rather than a longer list.
09Your own layout, and someone else's
Publishing hands out one link that renames, replaces or deletes the layout. Without an account that link is the whole proof: it lives in the browser that published, and the layout page offers it back for as long as it is there. With an account, My layouts keeps every layout you publish while signed in and any you claim there later. Replacing keeps the address, the hearts and the opens; deleting takes the row off the gallery and leaves every builder link alone, because the ship travels inside the address. Report this layout puts it in front of a moderator instead of doing anything to it on the spot.
10Layouts fade
A layout older than 90 days with no hearts and fewer than 3 opens is deleted. Its builder link keeps working: that link carries the ship inside it and does not need us.
