An account on PSS2.org keeps your plans. Linking your Pixel Starships 2 player to it, which we call verifying, unlocks everything that is about you in the game: your name with a Verified mark, Discord notifications about your listings and your player, and, for fleet officers, a Discord bot that posts your fleet's news to your server.

Feature Account Verified player Fleet officer (Major+)
Saved plans ✓
MY PLAYERS (up to 30 of your players) ✓
Verified mark next to your name ✓
Your player as a gallery layout author ✓
LOOKING FOR FLEET mark ✓
Discord DMs: Market (SOLD, EXPIRED, UNDERCUT, PRICE WATCH) ✓
Discord DMs: Players (TOP, season result, daily summary) ✓
Fleet bot: events in your server's channels ✓

Commands, available to everyone who adds the PSS2.org app:

  • /fleet [name]: a fleet's place, trophies and the members we see.
  • /player <name>: a player's fleet and role, trophies, monthly rank and current league.
  • /price <item>: the cheapest live listing on the Market and the last sale.
  • /crew <name>: a crew's base stats, equipment slots, ability and collection.

How to verify

Open MY PLAYERS in your account and find your player. The site gives you a price code: in the game, list any spare item on the Market for exactly that price per unit, from that player's ship. The listing stays up for 48 hours and can't be withdrawn, so pick an item you don't mind selling at that price. We spot the listing within two minutes and link the player to your account. One account can hold up to 30 players.

Discord notifications

Open Notifications and press CONNECT DISCORD. Discord asks you to add PSS2.org to your apps, and from then on the bot writes to you in direct messages. Choose what you want to hear about:

Event What arrives
SOLD your listing sold, fully or in part
EXPIRED your listing ran out unsold
UNDERCUT your listing was the cheapest of its item, and someone listed it cheaper
PRICE WATCH an item you watch was listed at your price or lower
TOP your player entered or left the top you set
SEASON RESULT your player's place when a league season ends
DAILY SUMMARY your player's last 24 hours at the hour you pick

Quiet hours hold the news until they end. SEND TEST MESSAGE checks that messages reach you.

Fleet bot

The bot belongs to the fleet, not to one officer: any verified player of the fleet with the role of Major or above can set it up and change it, and every change is in the history on the tab.

  1. Verify a player of your fleet with the role of Major or above.
  2. Open Fleet bot in your account. If you have officers in several fleets, pick the fleet at the top of the tab.
  3. If you can manage the Discord server, press ADD TO DISCORD SERVER. If you can't, press COPY INVITE LINK and send the link to a server admin; it works for 24 hours and needs no account on PSS2.org. Discord then asks to add PSS2.org to a server: pick the server (Discord lists only those you can manage), keep all three permissions checked (View Channels, Send Messages, Embed Links) and press Authorize. The bot needs all three to post its messages.
  4. Turn on the events you want: ROSTER (who joined, left or got a new role), DAILY SUMMARY and SEASON RESULT. All three go to one channel unless you pick a channel for each.
  5. Pick the hour of the daily summary, in UTC, and press SAVE.
  6. Press SEND TEST. Each channel gets a test message.
  7. If a channel says "bot can't post here", the channel is private. A server admin opens the channel's settings, Permissions, adds the role PSS2.org and allows View Channel and Send Messages. The bot itself shows up as Receptionist and gets this role when it joins, so it doesn't need to be added on its own. Then press SEND TEST again.

The bot only knows the members the Players section shows, so in a small fleet some members and their events are missing; the tab tells you how many members we see. Several fleets can share one Discord server: each officer connects their own fleet to it. To move the bot to another server, press DISCONNECT first, then add it again. DISCONNECT doesn't remove the bot from the server; a server admin does that in Discord. If someone removes the bot from the server, the tab says so and offers RECONNECT, which adds it back the same way as step 3.

Commands

Commands work on any server that has the PSS2.org bot and for everyone who adds the PSS2.org app to their own Discord apps. Start typing a name and pick it from the list.

  • /fleet [name]: on a server with one connected fleet the name is optional.
  • /player <name>: if several players share a name, pick the right one from the list.
  • /price <item>: items that have been on the Market at least once.
  • /crew <name>: if several crew share a name, pick the right one from the list.

If you use the app on a server that hasn't added it, Discord may show the answer only to you: that depends on the server's Use External Apps permission. A server admin can limit where commands work in Server Settings, Integrations, PSS2.org.
